Wanda C Sloan scrummed on Sept 24, 2022 from dementia, Born on February 13, 1941 in Vernon, Alabama to Troy & Christine (Fitch) Cannon. She & Major Jack Sloan married in 1969 & lived in several states until his retirement from the US Air Force in 1977 when they came to Texas.She made her career in the beauty industry until her retirement, & was a breast cancer survivor since 1994.She is survived by two daughters, Pat James & partner David Pepper of Hurst, TX, Donna Briggs Smith & Husband Chuck Smith of Turner,ME, three grandchildren, Jeremy Patten, Sr His son, Greatgrandson, Jeremy Patten, JR, Jennifer & Husband Kevin Choate, Jared James all of Texas. One brother Thad Cannon of Tuscaloosa, AL & one sister Frieda Maddox & husband Keith Maddox.She was predeceased by both her parents & her husband.Funeral services at DFW National Cemetery at 2:00pm,Tuesday October 11, 2022, there will be a brief remembrance memorial, the public is welcome to attend.
