Viola Fern Bradley, of Springtown, Texas, formerly of Ukiah, California, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the age of 88, in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born on February 20, 1936, to James Lawrence Fergerson and Ester Ivy Marie Grubbs Fergerson.
Upon graduating high school, Viola married John “Johnnie” Elmer Bradley on April 5, 1951, in Wheeler, Texas. Together they built a beautiful life that they enjoyed together until Johnnie’s passing.
She was a dedicated school bus driver for the state of California for 30 years. In her free time, Viola found great joy in her hobbies, which included sewing and creating beautiful blankets for her children and grandchildren. She also loved traveling and reading, pursuits that enriched her life and brought her happiness.
Her memory will be cherished by those who knew her, as she leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and dedication. May her memory bring comfort to all who were touched by her kindness.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, Johnnie Bradley; Father, James Fergerson; Mother, Esther Fergerson; Daughter, Vivian Sorensen; Sister, Ima Hall; Brothers, James Fergerson, Albert Fergerson; Brother-in law, William Bradley and Sister-in-law, Dovie.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her Daughter, Ivy Rebecca Howell (Bobby Howell); Brother, Roy Dean Fergerson; Sister-In-Law, Gwen Bradley; Grandchildren, Eric (Michelle), Jason (Jennifer), Stacie (Grahamn), Shari (Chris), Patrick (Diane), Walker (January), Theresa; Great Grandchildren: Dean, Averie, Koltyn, Tatum, Zachary, Cameron, Jaiden, Emilie, Mathias, Vivian, Addison, Marissa, Trenton, Cole, Daisy, Gracelynn, Addalea, Ryder, McCoy, Memphis, Bryce, Lauren and Ashley; Great-Great Grandchildren, Dalyne, Adam, Daxton, Micah, Alayah, Ryleigh, Clyde, Remingtyn and Blakely; several nieces, nephews and loving friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Salt Creek Volunteer Fire Station, 567 Big Salty Dr, Springtown, TX 76082.
