Talen Ehren Rea

Talen Ehren Rea passed away at the age of 24 on April 2nd, 2023. After struggling with type 1 Diabetes for several years he lost the battle, but he never gave up. He is survived by his family, friends, and his son Damien (3 years old) whom he loved fiercely.

Talen loved many things. He was a huge fan of LEGO, D&D, Pokémon, and Marvel/DC films and shows. He had an appropriately strong appreciation for puns and was gaining a high proficiency in the fine art of the “Dad joke”. He had a fabulous collection of bold and gaudy shirts and pants, and an ear for unusual music – preferably with an accordion, bagpipes, or mariachi band – a bonus for all three. He had a strange obsession with birds and bird-themed items, particularly pink flamingos. But above all he loved people. He was a sympathetic ear, a partner in anger, or a helping hand whenever asked. Even at a very young age, he could tell you who gave him anything in his room and how they were related to him. People mattered to Talen. He will be missed.
