Roy J. Gardner was born on March 13 1948 in Hobbs, New Mexico and passed away, surrounded by his loved ones, to go to his heavenly home on July 30, 2022.
He moved to NRH, Texas, and went to school at Fort Worth Christian, where he played football. He served proudly in the Army, and toured Vietnam during the Vietnam War. During the 1980s, Roy served our community as a police officer in California. Roy decided he wanted to go to mortician school in Texas, and became a funeral director. Roy felt it was an honor to help who have lost their loved ones, and guide them during their time of bereavement. He enjoyed classic country, and his favorite artist was George Jones. He loved his family and friends.
Roy is survived by his wife, Sandy, children- Bobby, Holly, Julie, Heidi, Rocky, and Gustavo. Grandchildren-Ethan, Annaliese, Ashlyn, Sydney, Kaden, Brody, Julianna, and Gustavo, and his dog, Sandy, Sister-Debbie, and a brother.
