Ronald Leonard Beam

Ronald Leonard Beam, 92, entered the kingdom of heaven on August 16, 2026. Ronald was born on January 24, 1934, in Mohawk, N.Y., to Harold Marvin Beam and Ethel Mae (Riley) Beam.

Ronald married Patricia Ann Beam on November 22, 1957, and together they were able to celebrate 65 years of marriage. Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia, who passed away on April 20, 2023.

He is survived by his five children: Christie Steblein (Rick), Rae Ann Dutton, Ronnie (Renee), Kevin, and Rusty (Laura); 27 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, grandson Maddox Beam, grandson Cade Tims, and great-grandson Boston Welborn.

Ron proudly served his country as an Air Force pilot. During his military career, Ron and Patricia lived in Japan, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and Simi Valley, California. Following his retirement from the Air Force in 1970, Ron brought his family to Hurst, Texas. Ron and Patricia lived in Laredo, Sherman, and Waco before settling in Hurst, where they built their life and raised their family.

Ron was also deeply committed to his work as an educator and coach. Throughout his career as a teacher, coach, and principal, he made a lasting impact on the lives of countless young people. He cared deeply about his students and athletes and took great pride in helping them grow, both on and off the field. His encouragement, dedication, and genuine investment in others left an impact that will continue to be remembered by those he taught and coached.

Ron will be remembered for his love of his family, his dedication to his country, his faith, and his adventurous spirit. He and Patricia shared a life filled with family, travel, and countless memories. They loved showing up for their family and being there for the moments that mattered most. Their home was often filled with family, good food, and plenty of sports debates. Ron also had a lifelong love of golf and cherished the time spent on the course, making memories with family and friends.

As a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ron treasured the time he spent with his family. He was present for practices, ballgames, school activities, church events, and the many milestones of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest accomplishment and his greatest joy.
