Pedro “Pete” Armendariz Jr., 26, passed away on March 22, 2026.
Born on March 4, 2000, Pete was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, and a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He was the cherished son of Denise Armendariz and Pedro Armendariz, and a proud and loving brother to Selest Armendariz and Kayla Armendariz, and a loving uncle to his nephew, Malachi Armendariz.
Pete had a deep love for God and found comfort in learning, reading, and sharing His word. He often quoted scripture to uplift and encourage others, always wanting to bring hope and light into people’s lives. He had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help anyone in need, no matter what he himself may have been going through.
He was full of life—funny, goofy, and full of personality. Pete loved to dance, play the drums, and make people laugh. He also loved to golf, finding joy and peace out on the course. One of his favorite words was “GOAT,” and he had a special way of calling his mom “mi madre, mi madre, mi madre,” a phrase that never failed to bring a smile to her heart. Those small, loving moments will be cherished forever.
Pete shared a special bond with his sisters and brought immense joy to his family. He also experienced a powerful and meaningful reconciliation with his father, Pedro (Pete), rebuilding their relationship into a strong and loving bond rooted in forgiveness, grace, and love—a true reflection of his faith.
Though Pete faced personal battles, he carried a heart full of love, faith, and compassion for others. His journey reminds us that even in struggle, there is strength, and even in hardship, there is grace.
Pete is survived by his loving parents, Denise Armendariz and Pedro Armendariz; his sisters, Selest Armendariz and Kayla Armendariz; his nephew, Malachi Armendariz; his maternal grandparents, Yolanda Holland, Tony Brownlee, and JC Alvarado; and his paternal grandparents, Connie and Alfonso Armendariz, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
While his time on earth was far too short, we find peace in knowing he is now in the presence of the Lord he loved so deeply. His life, his laughter, his faith, and his love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is deeply loved and will be forever missed.
