It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda (Essman) Robinson on July 18, 2024. Linda was born in Waldron, AR, on January 1, 1948, as the first child of Thomas and Ellen (Williams) Essman.
Linda is survived by her mother Ellen; brother Jimmy Essman (wife Pam); sister Phyllis Essman; daughters Cherie Mathews (Prasad) and Amy Lee (Joshua); and grandchildren Chandra, Chandler, Alex, Bella, Daniel, and Sebastian.
Preceding her in death were her beloved father Thomas Essman, son-in-law Carlos Merino, her grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins from the close-knit Williams and Essman families.
On March 13, 1992, a chance meeting in Lubbock brought Linda to her soulmate, Bill Robinson. They were seldom apart for the next 32 years. Bill, along with her family, was close by her side in her final days.
Linda was many things to many people. To family, she was fiercely loyal and loving. To friends, she tended to be a centerpiece at all gatherings. To the Robinson family, she was a breath of fresh air. She was a welcome guest and a gracious host. To employers, she was someone who could be counted on to be there and to give one hundred percent at all times. She was a great organizer. In her home, she was the heartbeat of all activities. She will be deeply missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Ridge Funeral Home on August 10 at 12:00 noon. The address is 8525 Mid Cities Blvd, North Richland Hills, TX 76182.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Linda's name to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105, or at https://www.stjude.org.
