Lamar B. Sanchez, age 84, passed away on November 4, 2024, in Bedford, Texas. Born on October 2, 1940, in Alice, Texas, Lamar led a fulfilling life marked by her dedication to her family and her zest for life's simple pleasures.
Lamar is survived by her loving children, Leticia Sanchez, Debra Gilstrap, Robert Sanchez, and Vicente Sanchez Jr. She was a cherished grandmother/ mom to Johnathan Kennedy, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Lamar's family circle also included five grand doggies, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and 2 brothers-in-law and their spouse and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Vicente T. Sanchez.
Known for her love of telenovelas, Lamar found joy in the dramatic twists and heartfelt tales that graced her screen. Dancing brought a spark to her eye, and she could often be found swaying to the music she adored, surrounded by her grand doggies, grandkids, and great grandkids, who were the light of her life.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM to 7 PM on November 13, 2024, at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in North Richland Hills, Texas. A funeral service will be held at the same location at 11 AM on November 14, followed by the burial at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery at 12:30 PM. Forest Ridge Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time, ensuring Lamar's memory is honored and cherished.
