Kevin A. Ostroff, proud father of 5, died Monday, December 20, 2021 at age 69 in his Bedford, Texas home. He was born in Grand Island, Nebraska, December 30, 1951 to Irving Ostroff and Joan (Martin) Ostroff Durst. Kevin was a Vietnam Veteran, honorably discharged, who served his country as a Navy Propulsion Engineer (1969-1973). He completed 4 years of active service with 3 tours of duty in Vung Tau and Danag. He was often known as a jokester, but this spirit was balanced by sensitivity and a tender heart. As a life-long fan of Star Trek and all things space and sci fi, he often reminded his children that among the billions of stars and their billions of planets, there is only one “you” in all the universe. We say, “Same to you, Dad.”
He was predeceased by his parents and his ex-wife, Elizabeth “Sissy” Roth Buckner. Kevin is survived by siblings Marlyn-Jo “Midge” Magnuson, Susan Potter, Mark Ostroff, and Lisa Hansen; his ex-wife, Vickie Gomez; his children Tina Walsh, Christina DiCarro, Angela Stone, Daniel Ostroff, and Jessica Ostroff as well as nieces, nephews, and 6 grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society at https://www.nmcrs.org/
