Kenneth Lee Thornton

Kenneth Lee Thornton, of Decatur, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 77.

He was born on October 26, 1947, in Paris, Texas to A. Kenneth Thornton and Annie F. Thornton.

Kenneth was a home body who always enjoyed staying in and working on his property, gardening or working in the shop on his cars. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know and love him. 

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Annie and A.K. Thornton; brother, Loyd Thornton; son, Kenneth Shane Thornton.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 41 years, Marilyn F. Thornton; daughter, Shawnna Thornton Wilkes (Richard Wilkes); sisters, Billie Ussery, Marqie Russell (Dickey Russell); grandchildren, Kendra Wilkes, Rick Wilkes; many wonderful niece, nephews, extended family members and loving friends.
