Kelly Roach Jr. Obituary

Kelly Hall Roach, Jr., 74, of Colleyville, Texas, passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of August 2, 2025. Born on May 8, 1951, in Midland, Texas, to Kelly Hall Roach, Sr. and Jacqueline Smith Roach, Kelly was a devoted family man, a successful businessman, and a true teddy bear at heart.

A high school star athlete at Midland Lee, Kelly's talent on the football, basketball, and track fields earned him a football scholarship to the University of Oklahoma. It was at Midland Lee where he met his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Paula Gale Selby. Together, they built a beautiful life over 54 years of marriage, traveling the world, enjoying the outdoors, and raising a loving family. Their most cherished destination was Aruba, a place they visited every year for over 25 years, creating countless treasured memories.

While his career with Sodexo-Marriott and Aramark, and later as a Farmers Insurance agency owner, showcased his professional drive, Kelly's greatest passion was his family. He was a proud father, a doting grandfather known as Poppi, and a loving great-grandfather. He was their biggest fan and most loyal supporter, whether he was coaching their sports teams, cheering them on from the stands, or sending motivational texts. Despite his imposing size, Kelly was a man known for his generosity and unwavering support, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly Hall Roach, Sr. and Jacqueline Smith Roach, his sister Ruthie Ann Roach Reichert, and his nephew Scott Reichert.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula; his children, Brian Roach and his wife, Kari; Jennifer Roach Esquivel and her husband, Adrian; and Nathan Roach and his wife, Stacy. He leaves behind nine grandchildren: Avery Roach York (Conner), Kaghen Roach, Gracelyn Roach, Taylor Roach (McKailey), Rachel Roach, Anna Esquivel, Alec Esquivel, Dylan and Natalie Roach and four great-grandchildren: Granger, Ruger, Austin, and Tiller.

The family will host a Celebration of Life Service at Grace Community Fellowship Hurst, 7650 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76054 on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 from 5pm til 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the GoFundMe account set up to support Paula in navigating this new chapter.
