Kathleen "Kay" Marsh, passed away peacefully after 83 full years of life on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 after many years of battling COPD.
Kay was born on March 10,1937 in Troy, New York. She was adopted at one year old by Harold and Nora Bennett. She spent her early years in the upstate New York area. Later the family moved to Illinois where Kay graduated from La Salle Peru High School.
The family then moved to Indiana, and she attended beauty school and became a beautician. In 1958 she met Roger Marsh, where they fell in love and were married shortly after on June 6th, 1959. Together, they raised their four children, Kathy Hartman (Kevin), Harold Marsh (Tina), Dale Marsh (Tammy), and Jacqueline Sewell. She is the grandmother of 10 grandchildren, Korey, Abigail, Konner, Alexandria, Emma, Meghan, Noah, AJ, Macie, and Olivia. Kay loved spending time with her grandchildren, she was found cracking jokes, wearing bucket hats, and watching Notre Dame football, anything to make others smile.
After moving to Hurst, Texas in 1982, she worked at several retail companies and later retired with Roger in 1996 where she spent those years enjoying time in her garden. Kay was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Bennett.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2020 at Forest Ridge Funeral Home Memorial Park Chapel. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
