Karen Reynolds Obituary

February 26, 1950 – June 3, 2026

Karen Reynolds, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on February 26, 1950, Karen lived a life defined by quiet strength, steadfast devotion, and an unwavering love for her family. She was a woman who gave generously of her time, her heart, and herself, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

On January 29, 1981, Karen united in marriage with David Reynolds, beginning a partnership that would span more than four decades. Together they built a home rooted in love, laughter, and commitment. Karen dedicated much of her professional life to Rainwater Inc., where she served as a Finance Coordinator from 1987 to 2010. Known affectionately among her colleagues as "the money lady," she brought the same care and precision to her work that she brought to every corner of her life.

One of Karen's greatest acts of love was her dedication to caring for her family. After her mother moved to Bedford from Lubbock in 2013, Karen devoted herself to ensuring she received the care, support, and companionship she needed. She visited her daily, coordinated medical appointments, and managed countless details of her care until her mother's passing in 2023. During those same years, Karen also continued caring for her husband throughout his cancer journey while managing the responsibilities of their home. She gave of herself freely and wholeheartedly, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, William "Buddy" and Dortha Roberts. She is survived by her devoted husband, David Reynolds; her son, Justin Reynolds, and his fiancée, Jill Rains; her brother, Wayne Roberts, and his wife, Cindy Roberts; her grandchildren, Christine Wilson, Jordan Taylor, and Austin Taylor; her great-grandchildren, Deacon Taylor and Makai Johnson; her niece and nephews, Amanda Gipson, Jeff Park, and Matthew Roberts; and the many nieces and nephews on David's side of the family who were near and dear to her heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 19, 2026, at the Grand Hall at North Richland Hills Centre. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather and share in remembering a woman whose love touched so many lives. Karen's memory will be carried forward in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers please consider making donations to the American Heart Association.
