Joe Edward Bailey

Joe Edward Bailey of Watauga, Texas passed away at his home on November 8, 2022. Joe was born on January 15, 1954, in Waco, Texas to Luther and Gladys Bailey. Joe grew up in San Juan, Texas. He was a graduate of Pharr, San Juan, Alamo High School, and Pan American University.

Joe served on the Watauga City Council for seven years, was a commissioner on the Watauga Civil Service Commission and served as the President of the Friends of the Watauga Public Library.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Luther and Gladys Bailey, brother Richard Bailey, and sister Phamie Finch.

Joe is survived by his wife, Linda Bailey; children Beverly Braswell, Karen Harbison, Lynn Bailey, Jennifer Van Milligan, Ryan Bailey, and stepchildren Katie Shawver and James Gilbert.

Joe was blessed to have eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter and was looking forward to three more great grandchildren arriving next year.
