Jennifer Trece Porrata died peacefully holding the hands of her two caring and much loved caregivers Tonya Stewart and Alicia Leguizamo, Sunday morning, June 5, 2022.
Trece was born February 26, 1973, in Dallas, Texas to Debi Waltz and her then husband. Trece was a happy, well behaved child who loved to mimic her mom, “clean house” and laugh with friends and family.
She went to Maybank High School and enjoyed a career in sales and marketing, physicians recruiting, although her greatest joy in life was being a mom and domestic goddess. Trece loved home decorating, cooking, camping, hiking, laughing with friends, volunteering her time to a variety of worthwhile projects and LOVED the chaotic noise of kids running through the house. She also loved animals particularly dogs and sloths in that she felt akin to, due to her limited movement.
Trece’s greatest love was her family and friends. She loved to get together to entertain, shop, share stories, laugh and was known for her “sharp wit”. But above all, was her love for her son Rocco. Her entire life was focused and dedicated around preparing him to be the best person he can be while loving him like only she could.
Trece was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Bill and Phyllis Kimbrell, and Bill Dixon, father in law Louis Porrata, and sister in law, Dianne Peace.
She is survived by her husband Tony Porrata and their son Rocco, son Jonathan; daughter Amaris Porrata; mother Debi Waltz, father in law Don Waltz; grandmothers, Jennie Porrata and Glendel Dixon, cousin Stacie Carpenter and her husband Ryan Metcalf; sister in laws, Linda Branda, her son Lucas, Jeannette Adamowicz and her husband Tom, their, their daughter Janeal; brother in law David Peace and daughters Desiree and Elizabeth; Aunts, Patricia Davenport, her daughters Jill and Mary, son Geoff; Rhonda Oesterle, her husband Andy, their children Drew and Aubrey; Uncles David Dixon and Rick Dixon, his wife Ann, their son William; as well as many nephews, nieces and extended family.
She was greatly loved and cared by a number of very special friends and caregivers for which we will forever be grateful, Tonya Stewart, Alicia Leguizamo, Linda Branda, Jill Ronchese, and Gloria Upshaw. Her “mom’s group” at St. Michaels were steadfast and loyal friends and supporters for many years: Lora Katkic, Amanda Requenez, Kat Cascante, Jennifer Castañeda, Linda Burns and Angela Krupp.
