Janice Wallace Obituary

Janice Sandra Wallace passed away March 16, 2021 after a short illness.  Janice was born on September 21, 1939 to Charles and Cora Doud of Cleburne.  She attended school there and went to the West Side Church of Christ.  Her freshman year of high school she met senior, Carrol Don Wallace.  They fell in love and married August 9, 1958 at her home church.  They had three sons together.

Janice was very proud when she graduated from the Texas Women’s University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Arts.  She was very well spoken and loved to read.  She played the piano beautifully and sang well too.  Janice had many talents and was skilled at decorating, wreath design and stenciling.  She was an excellent cook and was famous for her apple pie.  She was never afraid to speak her mind and you always knew what she really thought.  Her favorite past time was reminiscing on the porch of her childhood home and visiting with her family.  Janice was well loved and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cora Doud; sister, Judy Davis; step-sister, Marilyn Franklin; step-brother, Richard David; brother-in-law, Gary Wallace; and her dear friends, Thomas and Imogene Shotwell.

She is survived by her husband, Carrol Wallace; son, Charles Wallace and wife, Angela; sons, David Wallace and James Wallace; family friend, Sharon Hiss; her grandchildren, Taryn Hanovich, Kristy Hardin, Randi Wallace; and 7 great-grandchildren.
