Janet Lutz Houk moved on to her heavenly home on December 11, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Janet was born on March 12, 1945 in Morrow, Louisiana to parents Sophie and Alma Lutz. She was a graduate of Morrow High School. Janet moved to Hurst, Texas in 1966. She remained in the mid-cities area for the remainder of her life, raising her three daughters in Bedford. After a long career with the City of Colleyville, Janet retired in 2000 to become a full-time grandmother to her nine grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Larry Houk of Bedford, Texas; sisters Bobbie Belgard of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Johnnie Pease of Otis, Louisiana; daughters Kelly Seffrin of North Richland Hills, Texas, Ashley Cannon of North Richland Hills, Texas, Heather Caniford and husband Chuck of Clifton, Texas; her nine grandchildren, Clayton, Sophie, Colby, Clare, Camryn, Carley, Emma, Shane and Aubrey; and nephews Mark and Brian. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Sophie and Alma Lutz. A visitation will be held in her memory on Thursday, December 15th , 2022 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Forest Ridge Funeral Home at 8525 Mid Cities Boulevard in North Richland Hills, Texas.
