James Thomas Griffin

James Thomas Griffin, 92, of Waco, Texas passed peacefully on February 9th, 2026.

James was born on October 20, 1933 in Longview, Texas to Thirlow and Georgia Griffin.

James was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart Rita Ann Griffin, they were married for 57 years. He was also preceded in death by his son, James Wade.

James leaves behind his daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Hinson and her husband, Charles, a grandson, Charles Thomas Hinson and wife Sara, and a great-grandson, Gabriel Thomas Hinson.

James was a proud veteran, and served honorably in the United States Army. 

James was a CPA and practiced in Hurst, Texas with Rita and daughter, Debbie, for over 47 years.

In his free time, he loved to fish, garden, bar-b-que and spend time with family, he will be greatly missed.
