Harold Shane Obituary

Harold "Hal" Davis Shane, 94, passed away November 9, 2021.
Hal was Born June 22, 1927, in Atkinson, NE. After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II, he entered the university of Nebraska and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. he was employed in 1950 by the CB&Q Railroad in Chicago which merged into Burlington Northern Railroad in 1970. he spent 42 years in the railroad industry working in the Property Management Department's real estate division. since retirement in 1991 he enjoyed volunteering with various organizations and was a member of StPhilip's pastoral care team for many years. Hal was an ordained trustee, deacon, elder and Stephen Minister. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by them as well as a host of friends. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fredda, of 59 years in 2009.
Survivors are sons Douglas Shane, Wheaton, IL and Gregg Shane, (Nancy), Bedford, TX; grandchildren Matt Shane(Amy), Derek Shane(Jennifer), Megan Antonio(Gabriel), Jason Shane(Linden), and Theresa Shane-Carter(Caleb); great grandchildren Paislee, Jennings, Ryan, Landry, Evan, Benn and Madelyn; brother Charles(Holly), Atkinson, NE, brother-in-law Dewey Halligan, San Jose, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
