Gerald L. Powell, of Hurst, Texas, formerly of Marinette, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the age of 76.
Gerald was born on August 24, 1948, in Marinette, Wisconsin, to William F. Powell and Louise Powell. He lived a life filled with dedication to family, faith, and personal passions.
Gerald graduated from Marinette High School in 1966 and went on to attend Trinity Bible College for a year and a half. His love for music was evident throughout his life, as he was known as a gifted singer. Gerald’s faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he embraced his role as a devoted follower of God.
Beyond his spiritual and musical pursuits, Gerald had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting and fishing, spending time immersed in nature. He also had a keen interest in auto mechanics and found great satisfaction in restoring antique furniture, bringing new life to cherished pieces.
Above all else, Gerald was a loving husband and father. His kindness and devotion left an enduring impact on those who knew and loved him.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, William and Louise Powell; son, Gerald Powell Jr.; brothers, William and Donald Powell.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Glory Powell; son, Cameron Powell (Patty); daughter-in-law, Kinitia Powell; grandchildren, Brittany and Jesus Ruiz, Mitchell Powell, Brooke, Ezekiel and Lindsey Powell; great-grandchildren, Ava, Austin, and Amara Powell; sisters, Donna Collins, Shirley Falstad; sister-in-law, Valma Jensen (Leon); brother-in-law, Richard Lambert; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loving friends.
