Georgia Stone Obituary

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, Georgia "Peach" Roxanne (Lumadue) Stone, of Grapevine Texas, passed away peacefully. She was sixty-two.

Georgia was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many whom she treasured. Georgia was born to Grace Pizer and Norman Lumadue on September 28, 1960, in Tonawanda, N.Y. She graduated from Kenmore -West High School and attended Niagara County Community College New York. Not long after, she felt a calling to serve elderly individuals at a nursing home in Grapevine, TX. From there, she worked in the electronics field for several years with various companies. Her last job was working for Flying Foods for just shy of 20 years. She was a very hard and dedicated worker. She absolutely loved some of her co-workers, like family.

Georgia was well known for her beautiful spirit, bright personality, and joy of doing for others. Her generosity had no boundaries. She always helped anyone in need. When she wasn't working, she was with her 'other son' Ben - cat or spending time with her pride and joy grad-daughter Gabi, reading a book, crocheting, binge-watching shows on Netflix, or shopping for clothes. She also was known for saying "get your head out of your a$$" quite frequently to her son Matthew.

Georgia was predeceased by her parents, Grace Pizer and Norman Lumadue; her husband, Rodney Stone; brother, Paul Lumadue; and sister, Melissa Mott. Georgia leaves a lasting impact on everyone that loved and adored her and is survived by her son, Samuel G. Lumadue; daughter, Kristy Stone (Adam Zayas); son, Matthew Stone, brother Samuel Lumadue (Judy Lumadue); sister, Renae Jefferson (Eddie Jefferson), grand-daughter, Gabi Zayas. In addition, she had many nieces, nephews, and cousins who shared in her life's joys. Georgia's celebration of life will be in the fall of 2023. Her favorite time of the year. It will be updated here and on social media with specifics closer to that time.
