Gary Michael Klimeck was born on February 25, 1967 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Alexander and Janet Klimeck.
He moved to Boston in the mid-80’s and graduated from Tuft’s University with a degree in Fine Art. Gary joined the Army Reserves and served from 1986 to 1994.
As a young adult, Gary spent much of his time pondering the meaning of life. By his own admission, he often felt lost. At his lowest, Gary turned to his brother, John, who recently had received Christ. He said, “Whatever you have, I want that too,” -- that was Christ’s divine life and peace.
In 1989, Brother Lee was speaking in Newton Massachusetts with a specific burden for college age students. John, his wife, Anjie, and Gary were in attendance.
After becoming saved, Gary decided to attend Living Stream Ministry’s full-time training in Anaheim California. From then on, his life became a testimony of Christ’s salvation.
While in the full-time training, Gary met his lovely wife, Jill. They were married on November 16th, 1996. Over the span of their marriage, they had four children -- Solomon, Immanuel, Noah, and Catherine Klimeck.
Gary over the span of his lifetime brought joy to those around him. Whether it was through fellowship with the saints, serving with the children’s meetings, or spending time with his coworkers, there was always a joyous glow around him.
Many of you know him through work. His passion and drive for technology and learning was never ending. And he proved that to all of us when he reinvented his career from the Printing Industry to Cyber Security where he was hired by Palo Alto Networks.
Gary was an unapologetic New Englander. His love for the sports teams, the food, and culture were always ingrained into his being. Gary was also a talented artist and photographer. The photo of the eagle on the cover of this program was taken by him on the Connecticut River from a kayak. However, what most of us remember Gary for was his ability to make you laugh.
His life is a reminder to us all that, family, forgiveness, love, and peace are the most important things to hold on to. His strength and will throughout his life and especially at the end of it, is reflected perfectly in the following verse:
“I am able to do all things in Him who empowers me.” (Philippians 4:13)
