Douglas Gochal Obituary

Douglas “Doug” Gochal was born on May 15, 1957, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Albert and Rose Gochal. He was the youngest child to brother Gerry and sister Janice. Doug grew up in Perth Amboy, NJ and graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1975. He married Lori Fitzgerald in November of 1977. In 1985 they moved to Texas where they raised their children Karyn and Stephen in North Richland Hills.

Doug’s career began as a tradesman in the HVAC industry. During his career he mentored and trained many others in the trade. He was known by those close to him at work as a great teacher and mentor. Towards the end of his career, he achieved the position of Senior Facility Engineer for a Fort Worth based corporation. From apprentice to Senior Engineer, Doug thrived in his career.

Doug was always known as the friend or neighbor that would come to the rescue with auto maintenance or HVAC issues. He would always lend a hand to those in need. He had an outpouring of love to those that were close to him. His legacy continues through his children and grandchildren. He will forever and always be loved by those that knew him.

In death he is preceded by father Albert Gochal, mother Rose Rapach Gochal, and brother Gerry. He is survived by wife Lori Gochal; daughter Karyn Gochal Briggle (husband Jarred Briggle) son Stephen Gochal (wife Bonni Klemm Gochal); grandchildren Jackson, Jenna, Madelyn, Jacey; sister Janice Gochal Muller (husband Bob Muller).
