Dolores Ruth Goll was born in Milwaukee, WI in 1937 to Ruth Petersen Fox and Harold Richard Fox. She was the third child of 13 children.
Dolores married her Milwaukee Lutheran High School sweetheart, Jack Goll, in 1956. Together they had 4 children. Dolores is survived by 3 children: Holly Kutzler, Wendy Kicklighter, and Kevin Goll, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, also 7 siblings: Barbara Heishman, Donald Fox, Dale Fox, Dennis Fox, Alan Fox, Mark Fox, and Sharon Bogen. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack, and their youngest son, Brad; also her brother’s; Wayne and Dean, and her sister’s; Janet, Joan, and Carol.
Church was always a vital part of Dolores’ life, and she made sure it was a family affair. She loved singing in the choir and having fellowship with the many friends she met at church. During her early years of marriage she helped in the lunchroom of Christ Memorial Lutheran School and also drove the school bus. She spent 40+ years volunteering as a teacher’s aide at Lutheran schools: St. Paul Lutheran School, Ft. Worth, and Crown of Life Lutheran School in Colleyville. The first 17 years of her marriage to Jack were in Milwaukee, WI, but in 1975 Jack’s job with Miller Brewery took him and his family to Ft. Worth, TX. Dolores’ love for Texas developed quickly as she found a church she loved in a state she loved. Life became very busy with four teenagers. She was taxi driver, cheerleader and cook for four very busy children. Jack’s job took them to several other states (WI, GA, OH) over a seventeen year period, until finally in 1989 Jack retired and they were free to move back to the state they loved—Texas. It was then, that they began their world travels to 26 foreign countries and many travels in the US to see family and friends. Dolores thoroughly enjoyed her volunteer work at Crown of Life Lutheran School (22 years!) in between all her travels. She loved crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and good mystery books. She cherished her many friends through the years. Dolores touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all.
