Deborah "Debbie" Elaine Prude

Deborah “Debbie” Elaine Prude, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the age of 69.

Debbie was born on October 1, 1956 in Beaumont, Texas to Betty Lee and Robert Edwin Prude. After completing her high school education, Debbie pursued her passion for teaching at Howard Payne University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Education. Her career as a teacher spanned several decades and various cities, including Abilene, Killeen, and Lewisville, Texas.

Debbie’s dedication to her students and her enthusiasm for learning left a lasting impact on many young lives. Debbie was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church during her time in Abilene,
Texas. Her faith played a significant role in her life and community interactions.

Outside of her professional and spiritual life, Debbie had a love for reading, traveling, and engaging in various crafts. Her hobbies reflected her creative spirit and her
constant quest for knowledge and new experiences.

Debbie's legacy is cherished by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her commitment to education and her community will not be forgotten.
