Danny Ray Runyon

Daniel “Danny” Ray Runyon, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on August
14, 2025. Born on October 31, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas. Danny was one of 2 children to Paul and
June Runyon.
Danny served in the US Navy on the USS Boston from 1966 to 1971 as a radioman 2 nd class.
During the enlistment Danny served 3 tours in Vietnam. He was also awarded with serval
medal citations during his service for National Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon,
Vietnam Service Medal (w/four Bronze stars), Vietnam Campaign Medal (w/”60” device), Good
Conduct Ribbon.
Danny was married to GeorgAnn Doffing for 21 years and father to 4 children, Quinn Runyon,
Amber “Runyon” McDanal, Aaron Runyon and Eric Runyon. Danny is predeceased by Quinn
Runyon, GeorgAnn Runyon, and Eric Runyon. Danny was a brother to Paul Runyon Jr. and
grandfather to 7 grandkids Alex Runyon, Josilyn Willett, Peyton McDanal, Baily McDanal, Carter
McDanal, Makayla Runyon, and Ally Runyon
At the time of his passing, Danny was a resident of Denton, Texas where he resided with his
daughter, Amber McDanal.
The interment of his ashes will be at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless, Texas with predeceased
family. Danny will also be remembered at the National Cemetery for veterans in Dallas,
Texas.
