Betty Sue “Sue” Moon entered the presence of her Savior on November 21, 2025. Born in Hartselle, Alabama, and one of five children, Sue lived a life marked by joy, devotion, and unwavering faith.
She earned a master’s degree in Education from the University of Alabama and taught Physical Education before deciding to stay home to raise her children.
Though small in stature, Sue was mighty in spirit. She loved to say, “Dynamite comes in small packages,” and she embodied it—radiating warmth, striking up conversations with anyone, and making people feel seen, valued, and loved.
Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, David Moon, and by her parents and siblings who went before her.
She is survived by her children, Kristn Small (Brian) and Elliott (Cori) and by her five cherished granddaughters who brought her immense joy, Peyton deAnda (Ivan), Reese Carter (Will), Sophie, Lilli and Ruby Moon.
Her family takes comfort knowing she is now safely home with her Savior, whole and at rest, even as they miss her dearly in this life.
