Sean Michael Mahoney, much-loved father, son, grandson, brother, and friend passed away on May 1st, 2021. He was 29 years old and lived in Fort Worth, Texas. Sean was born on January 27th, 1992 in Corsicana, Texas. His absolute favorite thing to do was playing games and drawing with his daughter followed closely by watching his beloved New Orleans Saints and spending time with his family and friends.
Sean moved to Fort Worth when he was young and loved all things sports and movies. Sean played baseball, football, basketball, and soccer and was good at all of them. Sean took up acting in school and loved movies - especially horror movies - and theater. Some of his proudest memories were of the plays he was in, the all-star teams he made, and the friends he had. Sean had an almost encyclopedic knowledge of movies and actors and was awesome to have around for Friends trivia!
The thing about Sean that will always be remembered and missed, was how good of a friend, brother, co-worker and especially father he was. All of Sean’s co-workers will tell you that Sean made work a better place just by being there. Sean was always, always there for others, his friends and family knew that if they ever needed anything all they had to do was give him a call and he would be there. Sean had a tremendous work ethic. He would spend hours working overtime to finish a project and never complained about taking on the biggest loads in his group. One trait everyone will remember about Sean, that will make them smile, was his sense of humor. Sean was always laughing and making jokes which he thought were hilarious. And if not everyone agreed…. (dad) then that just made it funnier to him. Sean was simply an amazing father, he loved Brylee with all his heart and soul and was always spending time playing with, reading to, drawing with, watching movies with, and generally trying to make Brylee’s life the best he could. His life was too short, but Brylee’s life will be better for the time he was in it.
Sean is survived by his daughter, Brylee Mahoney; His Parents, Jimmy and Kelly Carter; His Sisters: Ashley Smith, Heather Carter, Kimberly Parks, Dallas Mahoney; His Brothers: Alexander Carter, Cody Carter and wife Carley, Jacob Carter, Michael Mahoney; His Grandmother, Elaine Carter; His Uncle, Barry Carter; His Aunt, Teresa Ovalle; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.
