Sandra Little Obituary

Sandra K. Little, 82, of N Richland Hills, passed away, peacefully at home with her family, on Wednesday July 28, 2021.

Born May 20, 1939, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to William L. and Lena Mae (Hottel) Sullivan.  She graduated from her beloved Central High School in 1957.  She loved her high school and enjoyed attending the yearly class reunions when she could.

On July 2, 1959, she married her high school classmate, G. Robert (Bob) Shepherd.  They had a daughter in 1962.  They later divorced.  Then August 8, 1964, she married Derrell C. Little. They moved from Tulsa to Pampa, Texas, and in 1965, they had a son.

They then moved to Houma, Louisiana and from there, Derrell's job took them traveling the world. They lived in Tripoli, Libya, Medan, Indonesia, Singapore, the Netherlands, and Scotland.  They vacationed in many other beautiful places from Greece, Paris, Italy, and many more.  All along the way meeting people and making many lifetime friends.

They then moved back to the states and lived in Littleton, Colorado, then moved to Argyle, Texas to be closer to family, and then in the early '90's chose to retire and settle in Granbury, Texas.

In Granbury Sandra, along with her husband, joined First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Sandra was a faithful member until her passing.

Sandra did volunteer work with CASA, Habitat for Humanity, and others. She was a member of several groups through church and outside of church. Within minutes of meeting, Sandra would know your life story, hopes and dreams. She faithfully kept in touch with friends. She would send birthday cards to each of them, and they always arrived early or on the day.  That was a great talent. She never missed an occasion to send a card to let you know she was thinking of you and there for you.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Derrell Little; and her sisters Darla Carter and Cathy Fredrickson. They are now reunited.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Van, of N. Richland Hills, Texas; her son Amrit Das (aka Scott Little) of Jemez Springs, New Mexico; her granddaughter Kelsey Sun of Slidell, Louisiana; her beloved great grandchildren, Jaylynn Sun, Ezekiel Sun, and Shai Sun; her grandson Kody Van of Dallas, Texas; her brother Chauncey Conway (Kathy) of Oklahoma; her sister Cheryl Wadleigh, of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews and extended family who loved her very much and will miss her.
