Ruth Ann Mullarkey

Our beloved Ruth Ann Mullarkey, 83, passed away peacefully in her home on February 20, 2023.

Ruth was born on April 7, 1939 in LaPorte, Indiana to Lloyd and Mercedes Cooper. She graduated from LaPorte High School in 1957, and married her high school sweetheart Bill Mullarkey in June of 1958.

Ruth and Bill began their family in their hometown of Laporte, Indiana, but ended up raising their five children in East Gary, Indiana, and in 1976 the family relocated to North Richland Hills, Texas.

Above all, Ruth cherished her family and her faith in God. Once her children matured, Ruth worked for Birdville I.S.D. Child Nutrition Services for twenty-three years. 

Ruth and Bill have been members of Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church for forty-six years.

Our dear Ruthie is survived by: Husband of sixty-four years, Bill Mullarkey; brother, Lloyd Charles Cooper (Judy) of Gilbert, Arizona; Children: Mary Dixon (Tony); Peggy Mullarkey (Blake) of The Woodlands, Texas; Carrie Baird (Craig) of Fort Worth; Kelly Mullarkey (Susan) of Fort Worth; Amy Mullarkey (Tony) of St. Petersburg, Florida; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in North Richland Hills, TX on Monday, February 27th from 6pm-8pm. The rosary will take place promptly at 6pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills, TX on Tuesday, February 28th at 11am. The graveside service will take place shortly thereafter at 1:30pm at Bluebonnet Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Colleyville, TX.
