Ronald Scott Starnes

Ceremonies for Ronald Scott Starnes (75) of North Richland Hills will be 6:00p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Forest Ridge Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home between 4:00 an 6:00p.m. prior to services.  Ronald Scott Starnes  Born in Snyder, TX on July 21, 1944 to parents Winfield Scott and Billie Louise Starnes.  Being raised in an Air Force family he traveled and lived in many places including Japan, London, Nebraska, Arizona, and landed in Fort Worth, TX in 1961.  He graduated from Castleberry High School in 1962 where he met his life long friends, Joel Barnhill and Ricky Schauff.  He went on to attend UTA and  graduated from Dallas Baptist University.  He worked in engineering at Bell Helicopter for 44 years.  He retired to his hobbies of bowling and trading stocks. Ronnie married Karen Grounds on March 31, 1972.  They have 2 daughters, Kimberly Shay Gill of Lancaster, California and Kerri Kincaid of Beford TX, 3 grandchild that he adored, Aaron Marx, Austen Marx, and Grace Ann Marx.  Ronnie passed away at UTSW Zale Lipshy Hospital after a short illness on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.  He loved having people to entertain and celebrated life every chance he got.  He will be missed by so many.
