Ronald Charles Kohn was born October 30,1939in Buffalo, NY to Herman and Sarah Kohn. He was born with a congenital heart defect which limited his activities. Although he loved sports especially baseball and basketball, he was unable to participate but turned to playing golf and fishing. After two open heart surgeries he graduated from Cansius College with a degree in Math in 1961, He then got his Masters in Education. His first teaching position was at Cansius High School in Buffalo, NY. teaching Math. While there he was in charge of the Chess Team and did the scheduling for the school. He held that position at Cansius High School until 1976 when he moved with his family to Hurst, Tx. He taught High School Math at Country Day in Fort Worth for a short time. He then decided to work with his sister Kathy at her barbecue restaurant until he retired. He was involved with his church as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 10 years. He loved to bake and was known for making delicious banana nut bread and blueberry muffins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and his daughter Amy. Survivors include his wife, Stella Kohn, daugher Sandra Alexander, sons Michael, David, Robert and seven grandchildren.
