Ronald Louis “Irv” Cipriano, 92, of Colleyville, Texas, passed away August 31st surrounded by his adoring family. Born November 30, 1930, in Waterbury, Ct., he was adopted by his aunt and uncle, Rita and Louis, whom he considered his real parents. He attended Union Endicott High School in New York and played multiple sports, including baseball and football. He fondly recalled seeing the Brooklyn Dodgers play at Ebbets Field.
Ron served as a Marine during the Korean War. Using the G.I. Bill, he then pursued his education at Harpur College and Pennsylvania State University.
He began a lifelong career in the automobile industry and ultimately owned his own dealerships. In 1960, he married his beautiful wife, Diane, and built a loving family of two daughters and a son. Ron balanced a busy life of family and work with his passion for golf and New York Giants football.
After the death of his beloved wife, he moved from New Jersey to Texas to be with family. Up until his passing, he was always at the center of events, from vacations to graduations, weddings, and the births of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He delighted in the presence of his family and took joy in sharing what he learned from a life well-lived, especially encouraging the next generation of golfers.
Ron is survived by his daughters, Gilda and Maria, and son, Lou (Kathleen). Grandchildren, Jessica (Mike), William (Clarissa), Richardo, Brittany (Jeremy), Joseph, and Daniel. Great-Grandchildren, Scarlett, Harrison, Theodore, Ashlynn, Evelyn, Isaiah, Jeremy, and Hannah. Numerous extended family members and friends will miss his spirit and laughter.
