Roger Dale Marsh, 87, passed away peacefully in his home on August 31, 2023.
Roger was born on March 20, 1936 in South Bend, Indiana. Roger joined the Marines right out of high school and was stationed in California during his enlistment. Roger met Kathleen “Kay” Bennett in February 1958, and they were married on June 6, 1959. Roger and Kay were married until Kay's passing in 2020. They raised four children, Kathy Hartman (Kevin), Harold Marsh (Tina), Dale Marsh (Tammy) and Jacqueline Sewell. He is grandfather to 10 grandchildren, Korey, Abigail, Konner, Alexandria, Emma, Meghan, Noah, AJ, Macie and Olivia. He is also a great grandfather to 5 beautiful babies, Kellin, Kyle, Hudson, Myra and Zoe. Roger spent most of his career after the Marines in Data Processing, migrating his family in the early 80s from Mishawaka, Indiana to Hurst, Texas. Roger loved spending time with his friends at the Hurst Senior Center, driving for Citizens on Patrol in Hurst and working with the Hurst Fire Academy helping with all that was needed. Roger also had a love for Boston Terriers, for most of his life you would find one by his side, mostly at the dinner table. 

Roger is preceded in death by his wonderful wife Kay, his parents, Dale and Evelyn, and sister Loreta. Per Roger’s request there will not be a memorial service. His ashes will be taken to the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date by his children.
