Robert Atwater Ingersoll

Robert Atwater Ingersoll, 99, of Euless Texas, formerly of Hamburg NY, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his children, Wednesday July 19th 2023. Robert was born on November 9, 1923 in Providence, Rhode Island to Henry and Emma Belle Ingersoll. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Beverley Barton Ingersoll, daughter Cynthia Kiebus, sister Suzette Berezowska, and brothers Edward and William. Survivors left behind to cherish his memory are daughter Kimberly Eisenberger (Robert) Grand Island NY, son Robert Ingersoll Jr. Grand Island NY, daughters Melissa Ingersoll North Richland Hills TX, Stephanie Ingersoll (John Hartley).Austin TX, and son Christopher Ingersoll (Cindy) Hurst TX: grandchildren: Matthew Kiebus, Charles Kinler Ill, Emily Eisenberger, Mitchell Kiebus, Kallie Ingersoll, Ashley Samaripa, Shawni Ingersoll, Adam Ingersoll, Ian Eisenberger, Noah Scott, Grace Ingersoll, and great-grandchildren: Vanessa Samaripa, Jesse Samaripa, Hudson Kiebus and Gwendolyn Kennedy. Robert was a World War II veteran, enlisting in 1943 and serving in the 460th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion supporting the 517th Parachute Combat Team, "The Battling Buzzards," belonging to the 82nd Airborne division. Robert served in the Italian campaign, jumped into Southern France for "Operation Dragoon", fought in the Battle of the Bulge and finished his service after the fall of Berlin. Robert was honorably discharged in February 1946. Funeral 2pm Tuesday, July 25th 2023 at Forest Ridge Funeral Home Memorial Park Chapel North Richland Hills TX 76182 with Military Honors.
