Robert Conrad Fisher Obituary
Our beloved Robert "Bob" Conrad Fisher, known by his family as Poppy, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 91, in Grapevine, Texas. Born on February 4, 1934, in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Bob embarked on a life marked by dedication to education, entrepreneurship, and community involvement.
After serving in the United States Army, Bob went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science from Oklahoma State University, a foundation that led him to a rewarding career as a teacher and coach in Ponca City, Oklahoma. After relocating to Houston, Bob transitioned into entrepreneurship, where he became a small business owner in the wire mesh, post tension cable, and concrete industries.
Among his many interests, Bob enjoyed a diverse range of hobbies and could always be spotted from far away in his "crazy" socks. He always enjoyed a game of marbles, fishing, and golf, and was also skilled in card games like bridge and poker. He cherished the time spent dancing with his wife, traveling, and watching football, Western films and birds. His love for animals was evident in his joy in sitting with his dogs, a simple pleasure that brought him much happiness. Bob was also deeply involved in his community through his attendance at Champion Forest Baptist Church, a proud member of the Cherokee Nation, and was inducted into the Masons.
Bob is survived by his loving spouse, Carole Fisher; daughters, Denise Fisher and Dyann Watterson; sons and their spouses, Rob and Tracy Fisher, Perry and Debora Fisher, Ray and Jody Fisher; grandchildren and their spouses, Justin Fisher, Brianna and Dusty Starnes, Ashley Aschoff, Sheldon Jackson and Nikki Castaneda, Kaitlynn Wolf, Autumn Watterson, Abby Fisher, Maggie Fisher; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Starnes, Maxwell Fisher, Corbin Starnes, Sagan Fisher, Stetson and Waylon Jackson, Harper Wolf; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Louise Fisher; his father, William Fisher; his mother, Mabel Fisher; and his brothers, James and Wayne Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in North Richland Hills, Texas. A service celebrating Bob's life will take place on Tuesday, December 16th at 10:00 am.
