Robert Broom, senior, age 82, of Richland Hills Texas passed away December 7, 2022, after a four year battle with Alzheimer’s.

Robert was born November 28, 1940 to E. L. and Mildred Broom in Jacksboro, Texas.

After graduating from Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School in 1959, he found his passion in carpentry and began doing interior trim in new homes and later built over 300 homes. He remained in the business for over 55 years.

He married the love of his life, Penny Broom, and they were together for 50 years. Together they raised four children and were very loving grandparents and great grandparents.
Robert was a very hard-working man with a strict work ethic. When not working, his hobbies were racing cars and dragsters. He was a member of NHRA for many years. Robert loved anything to do with cars whether it was restoring them or making them go faster. You could always find him working on something.

Robert was preceded in death by children Gayle Broom Heath and Chad Sullivan Broom.
His survivors include; wife, Penny Broom, son, Robert Broom Jr., daughter, Pamela Brown, his brother, David, and sister, Nancy, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nephews, and nieces, and a host of longtime friends.

Robert was a man of few words. His children, grandchildren and friends will quickly tell you that “no” was not one of them.
