Peggy Ellen Moore Burkhart Taylor, 82, went to the Lord on Sunday, February 6, 2022.
She was born November 9, 1939 in Jackson County Oklahoma to Jessie Hershel “Jake” Moore and Joy Hyacinth Jones. She graduated Thackerville High School, Oklahoma in 1957. She married in 1956 and moved to Gainesville, Texas. In 1959, the family moved to Ft. Worth, Texas. In 1966 the family made North Richland Hills their home.
Peggy had many professions over her lifetime. She was a mother first to her three children, then a professional seamstress, secretary, switch board operator, and finally retired as a realtor.
Momma, Grandma, Grammy, MeMaw, Peggy, Sister, Daughter, Cousin, Friend - So many names you have been called. You will be remembered for your smile and bubbling personality. You were the Matriarch of our family and loved by family and friends.
Peggy looked forward to working the Wednesday night dinners at Glenview Church. So many would request her Buttermilk pie that there was never enough to go around!
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents: Father, Jessie Moore and mother Joy Moore Crelia, and husband Don Taylor. Her brothers Billy Charles Moore, Eddy Dent Crelia, and Tommy Leon Crelia.
She is survived by her three children Kimberly and husband Jerry Killion, Jeffrey and wife Kimberley Burkhart and Kevin Burkhart, all of Watauga Texas.
Grandchildren are Ryan Burkhart of North Richland Hills Texas, Kristan and husband Jeremy Phillips of Bluff Dale Texas, William and wife Lindsey Killion of Ft. Worth Texas, Jesse Killion of Watauga Texas, and Kelci and husband Corey Wake of Waco Texas. Great-grandchildren are Payton Craft and Aubree Phillips of Bluff Dale Texas, Kiley, Johnathan, and Waylon Killion of Ft Worth Texas. Sisters Kathy Kelley of Marietta, Oklahoma and Polly Phillips of Ardmore, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26,2022 at Glenview Church, 4805 NE Loop 820, Haltom City, Texas.
