Our beloved Dad, Nouphit Siraphet had lived a good and complete life for 87 years. We all love him and will miss him dearly.
He is survived by our mother, Feuongthong and 3 children (Mani, Sam, Chinda,) and eight grandchildren.
Our dad was quite reserve and a man of few words. But when he does speak, he speaks volume and in full attention. Both our dad and mom have brought us from Laos to the US in 1978 to start a new life. Our dad has always been a provider. He would put his family first. When time were tough and jobs were scarce, he would travel all over to seek jobs to provide for his family. We are all grateful for his sacrifice and determination. One of the things that we take after our dad is that he loves to travel and take the family all over for vacation. Ohio, Canada, Florida, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Diego, LA, San Francisco, China, Australia, Dominican Republic. Just to name a few. His main hobbies were that he loves to fish. He grew up on the small village in southern Laos and lived nearby the Mekong River. That’s where he learned how to fish. I’d remembered that he would take me out fishing and no matter how good or bad conditions were, we would ride it out, thunderstorms, rain, or shine, it doesn’t matter. What matters is, is that we get to spend quality time together and hope to catch some fish!
Dad, you were the anchor and the beacon of our family and will be missed greatly. May you rest in peace knowing that you have left a great memory for all of us.
