Marjorie “Midge” Wellman passed away 4-10-21 at 90 years old. She died in the home that she and her husband built surrounded by her family. Midge was born in 1930 in Passaic, New Jersey. She grew up in New Jersey with her older brother and her parents Edgar and Anna Fatzinger. Her family moved to Texas when she was a teenager and she met and married the love of her life Edwin Wellman in 1949.
Midge was an avid reader and worked as volunteer at the Hurst Public Library for many years. She also loved to do needlepoint and made her granddaughters many dresses and gifts for her family and friends. Midge’s life was filled with laughter and love. She loved to travel with her husband and to have gatherings in her home.
Marjorie was a loving grandmother to her three grandchildren: Jennifer Wellman (Chuck Vogel) , Matt (Sarah) Wellman and Samantha (Marc Hejl) Wellman. Midge was also a cherished great grandmother to Zoe Wellman, Evan Doyel, Charlie Vogel, Katherine Doyel, Alicia Pickering, Rheanne Wellman, Morgan Wellman, Adeline Pickering, Bo Wellman, Aubrey Wellman, and Samson Hejl. She also had numerous nieces and nephews. Midge was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Wellman, her parents Edgar and Anna Fatzinger, her brother Edgar “Bud” H. Fatzinger, Jr. and her son Warren Wellman.
A viewing will be held at eleven on Wednesday April 21st at Forest Ridge Funeral Memorial Chapel(8525 Mid Cities Blvd. North Richland Hills, Tx. 76182 ).The service will be held at noon following the viewing at Forest Ridge Funeral Memorial Chapel. This will be followed by a gravesite service at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. Dallas, Tx. 75211. She will forever live on our hearts and memories.
