Margie Carter Obituary

“Margie Faye Carter

“Nana” was peacefully called to be with her Lord and Savior Thanksgiving afternoon while at home surrounded by 4 generations of family.

Born to Mittie and Henry “John” Gilbert Brown of Tyler, TX she graduated from John Tyler High school and later attended Tyler Junior College where she participated as an Apache Belle.

Margie Brown married John Carter in Dec. of 1962 beginning their 58-year marriage together in Ft Worth, Tx.

Margie retired as a Birdville school district administrator after 24 years and was active in her church choir for decades. But her main role in life was being a mom and grandmother.

She was a wonderful mother and strong and supportive grandmother who along with John raised their children and grandchildren together creating countless memories.

She is preceded in death by her older sister Doris, older brother Bo, younger brother, Glen. Margie is survived by her husband John, her daughter Sheri, son Brad, grandsons Cody and Ryan, and great granddaughter Ellie, as well as her youngest sister Jenette and David Haney of Tyler, Tx.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
