Linda Kay (Grant) LeClaire

Linda Kay LeClaire completed her earthly journey on September 21, 2021. She accepted God’s peace and His loving arms as she was welcomed to her new home after quietly saying good bye to those around her.

Linda Kay (Grant) LeClaire was born on October 27,1944 in Denver Colorado, the daughter of Frank A.Grant and Mildred L. Grant. Her early life was in Denver, Tulsa, and eventually Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson HS in Dallas in 1962 and from North Texas University in 1966 with a degree in Education specializing in Gifted Learning programs. She started teaching First Grade in Jefferson County, Colorado. Her teaching career spanned 24 years with 21 years in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD helping hundreds of children take their first steps in education.

She was selected HEBISD Teacher of the Year in 1992. She loved her students and always asked them to do their best.

Her parents were a strong influence in her life, informing her faith and her deeply held values of service and humility. With every school and church activity she participated in she strove to live up to the ideal of “giving your very best in all you do.”

After retiring she dove into church work with the same enthusiasm as school. She formed Care Teams, established off-site worship services, and led church teams in community events. She was a very caring, giving, beautiful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an “angel” to all.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Stephen, her children, Mark and Michele (spouse Andrew Rabuck), and eight grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by family, friends and her church community.
