Lawrence Joe “Larry” Palmer, 81 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Bedford. He was born May 2, 1940 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Sue Crow Palmer; and his parents, Mary Jo and Lawrence James Palmer.
He is survived by his three children, Rhonda Palmer, Dawn Dorminy-Hurst, Jason Palmer, and Mellissa Mullowney; also, by his grandchildren, Kaylee Anthony, Jaxon Palmer, Mattilyn Curry, Cash Curry, and Ethan Mullowney.
The Palmer home was always open to anyone who needed a positive parental role model. Larry and Jackie owned and operated Ridglea TV and Larry’s Radio in Ft. Worth. After retirement, he worked for FedEx. He also enjoyed being the bus driver for the Texas Girls Choir for six years and was the 2-time recipient of father of the year. He also enjoyed singing Karaoke and being the sound man for Dawn’s band, Southern Exposure, traveling all over DFW and North Texas. Larry loved life but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He will be missed by so many who knew him and loved him.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Forest Ridge Funeral Home Memorial Park Chapel. Interment will follow at the Arwine Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Forest Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
