Khamsay Saysanamounekhoune Obituary

Khamsay Saysanamounekhoune, 66, of Fort Worth, passed away on June 2, 2023, peacefully with her family by her side, after a long battle with diabetes.

Khamsay was born on July 5, 1956 to Bounpiene and Khampao in Vientiane, Laos. In 1975, Khamsay met Bounthanh when she was sitting outside her home and he walked by one evening and noticed her. They fell in love, got married, then Khamsay and Bounthanh went on to have 3 children, Phoxay, Kaykeo, and Moro.

In 1981, Khamsay and her family immigrated to the United States and settled in Fort Worth, TX. Khamsay worked at Nokia for several years but what she really loved doing was cooking and selling traditional Lao foods, then becoming known for her delicious fried bananas.

In 2005, she became a grandmother and fell in love again. She was a stay at home grandma, helping raise her grandchildren which she loved doing.

The family, along with many friends, has lost a wonderful human being. She loved cooking for family and friends. Her big and beautiful smile will be greatly missed.

Khamsay was predeceased by her parents and her younger brother. Khamsay is survived by her husband, Bounthanh, her oldest son, Phoxay and his wife Krista, her daughter Kaykeo and her husband Chan, her youngest son Moro and wife Chouly, her grandsons, Jaden, Lucas and Kinsler, and her granddaughters, Mya, Madison, Chloe and Kailani. She is also survived by her older brother Khamsouk and her younger sisters Khampoui, Hongsa, and younger brothers, Khamphouva, Khamphouvong, and Khamphouvieng, along with other family members that include sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
