Kelley Kristine (Oakley) West

Kelley Kristine Oakley West, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 54.

Growing up in Fort Worth, Texas, Kelley attended Saginaw and Eagle Mountain School Districts, where she graduated from Boswell High School. Kelley was known for her vibrant and joyous personality, which made her the life of any party. She was an excellent and loving mother, a caring friend, and had a take-charge attitude that resonated with everyone she met. Kelley had a huge heart, loving everyone as if they were her own.

Professionally, Kelley dedicated many years to her career as a hospitalist recruiter all over the United States, where she was highly respected and valued by her colleagues and those she helped place in their roles.

Kelley cherished her time spent gardening and being with her family, which were her favorite ways to unwind and express her love for life. She had a special bond and deep appreciation for her in-laws, Nacia and Gary West, always valuing their time spent together. When she became a part of their family, it felt like she had always been there. Kelley cherished the bond she created with her niece, Maddie, always encouraging her and providing a safe place for her to come to. Kelley's legacy of love, laughter, and leadership will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Kelley has been reunited with her loving husband, Roy West, in heaven. She is also preceded in death by her father, Gary Oakley; father-in-law, Gary West; and sister-in-law, Sheri West Lewis.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved daughter, Scout Janna West; parents, Kirby and Sue Meints; mother-in-law, Nacia West; brothers, Jon, Chris and Brian; her cousin Heidi and aunt Jan, both who she was very close with; precious family friend, Barry; and numerous other extended family members and friends. 

A memorial visitation honoring Kelley will be held from 6:00-8:00pm Friday, July 24, 2026, at Forest Ridge Funeral Home 8525 Mid Cities Blvd. North Richland Hills, Texas 76182.
