Julia grew up traveling all over the south and west coast as her parents pursed many jobs all over during the depression. Julia graduated from high school Grand Coulee WA and made her way back to Fort Worth Texas where she attended Ft. Worth Secretarial School. After being discharged from the service they moved back from California to their home state of Texas. While Gerald went back to work @ swift packing house as a meat salesman Julia stayed home and raised her children. They had 3 children, 2 daughters Sherry Johnston; Sandra Ferguson and one son Don Brewer. After her children were all in school she started in the business with Avon. She was known throughout the H-E-B area as Ms. Brewer the Avon lady. Julia sold Avon for over 25 years earning many awards for her great leadership and sales ability. She was a member of North Point Baptist Church formerly known as First Baptist Church of Hurst. Julia loved to serve her community and she did so as a member of Care Corp of north Texas and several senior citizens clubs around the H-E-B area.
