Joyce Irene Colebank Obituary
Joyce Colebank, a cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024. Her life was a testament to her unwavering faith in the Lord, which served as a guiding light for her and her family throughout her journey.
Joyce had a profound love for veterans and animals, evident in her commitment to charitable causes that filled her mailbox. Her life was marked by kindness, generosity, grace, and a spirit of acceptance. She embodied selflessness, unwavering affection, and a steadfast devotion to her family and friends, touching the lives of everyone she met-from coworkers to neighbors-with her warm smile and compassionate heart.
One of Joyce's favorite sayings was, "All we have at the end is our memories." She created countless cherished moments, including Saturday nights watching American Bandstand while enjoying homemade Chef Boyardee pizzas with her daughters and their best friend, Vickie. On her 70th birthday, she embarked on an unforgettable adventure through Alaska with her three daughters, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Christmas was another beloved tradition for Joyce, marked by stockings lined up across the sofa and a tree surrounded by lovingly wrapped gifts.
While we grieve the loss of Joyce, we take comfort in the promise of eternal life through her faith. Revelation 21:4 reminds us, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
A visitation service will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Forest Ridge Funeral Home.
