John Warren Shaunty, 86, passed away on December 17, 2023, at Ellery Arbor Memory Care in Colleyville, Texas.

J.W. was born on January 31, 1937, in Enid, Oklahoma. He was the son of Dorotha Shaunty and John N. Shaunty. J.W. joined Air National Guard while in high school and served for many years. He graduated from Enid High School in 1955 and went to Oklahoma State University where he earned his Associate Degree in 1957. J.W. married Mary Jo Langford on June 1, 1957, in Enid, Oklahoma and continued his education for one more year in Engineering School before moving to Fort Worth, Texas to work at General Dynamics. They have lived in North Richland Hills, Texas for over 60 years. They have two daughters, Shari and Susan.

J.W. enjoyed working, puttering around his garage, going to his cabin in southeastern Oklahoma, and his dogs. He was a member of St. Philip Presbyterian Church in Hurst, Texas for over 60 years. He retired from Lockheed Martin on July 31, 2000, after 41 years of working in the HVAC Department. J.W. and his long-time business partner and best friend, Bud Dotter, operated All Seasons Sales & Service for many years.

J.W. is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Shaunty, of 66 years and two daughters, Shari (Ron) Moore and Susan (Larry) Cline;

His grandchildren: Kyle (Dianna) Cline, Kevin Cline, Tiffany (Ben) Sharp, Ryan (Natalie) Moore, and Tyler (Katie) Cline;

His great-grandchildren: Cooper Cline, Casen Cline, Jakob Cline, Emma Cline, Barron Sharp, Chloe Cline, Colton Cline, Phoenix Sharp, and another great-granddaughter due any day.

J.W. was preceded in death by his parents, sister (Carolyn Shaunty), and great-granddaughter (Annelise Sharp).

No further plans have been made at this time.
