John Harrell Thompson

John Harrel Thompson, 71 of Justin, passed away suddenly, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his residence.  He was born to the late Richard and Ella Campbell Thompson on January 22, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

John loved adventure, motorcycles and golf.  He was the master of music, instruments, singing, and especially chocolate chips cookies.  No matter where you found John, he always made everything fun and memorable.  His devotion and love for his family was unparalleled.  Spending time with his children and grandchildren were his happiest moments.  His adventurous free spirit, laugh and love for everyone will be greatly missed by so many who knew him and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Thompson; his children, Traci Ayers and her husband, Robert of Williamsburg, VA., Amy Shirola and her husband, Andy of Oklahoma City, Ok., and Eli Thompson and his wife, Michelle of Crowley; his sister, Debra Phillips of Franklin, TN; and his grandchildren, Alton, Alayna, Avery, Aubin, Carson, Neely, Karly, Jason and Zachary; he is also survived by his nephew, Casey Phillips and his wife, Sandra and their son, Isaac.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ella Campbell Thompson.

A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Forest Ridge Funeral Home Memorial Park Chapel.  The service will be live-streamed.  Those that wish to attend the service virtually, will need to go to the Forest Ridge Funeral Home FaceBook page and “Like” their page.  Forest Ridge Facebook Page  The service can then be viewed live at 11:00 a.m. or any time thereafter.
