We are devastated to announce the passing of John C. Bellinger, 57, of Fort Worth, on August 26th, 2023, after a motorcycle accident.
John was a man of many talents! He was a professional diver, eagle scout, hunter, gun instructor, handy man, mechanic, and design engineer, but one of the most notorious talents was his cooking abilities and Barbeque skills. He even participated in several BBQ contests in Kansas City, a very competitive location. Most importantly, John was a loyal friend, an outstanding brother, a caring father, and a beloved husband.
John began his life on November 29th in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to the Late Robert and Mary Bellinger. He was the youngest of four brothers Frank, Bruce, and Jim. John, lived briefly in Maracaibo, Venezuela with his parents before graduating High School. His adventures and longtime friends that he made in “Escuela Bella Vista” have lasted over the years. He graduated from Bartlesville College High School in 1984, and he went onto study Engineering at Oklahoma State University. He was truly an Engineer at heart.
John married Aimee Turner and they had Three wonderful children, Dylan, Racheal, and Nicholas. John was a father who was a good teacher and provider. John always had been so proud of his children and their accomplishments.
After the divorce, John moved to Houston for a job opportunity and met Alicia Dominguez. He visited Alicia’s school during “meet the teacher night” and stole her heart. Both share the love of Venezuelan food, Native American history, and a great sense of humor. Love grew immensely and they got married in 2014. The Children eventually moved in, and the family was complete. Then, came Hunter and Milo, two dogs that fulfilled John’s life as well.
John always had a light spirit and enjoy friends and family gatherings. He loved to cook for them and enjoyed watching people eat. These are some of his quotes that we will treasure forever: “Are you kidding me?” “Close the damn door!” “Will get to that project next weekend”, “What is for dinner?”, “I’m homeee”, “My knees, my knees!”
John’s legacy will live on forever through the special moments that we share and the way he made us feel. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. We will miss him dearly the rest of our lives, but he will always be with us in our hearts.
